Lisa Conlan

SELF-CREATED SUCCESS

You got to hand it to her; Lisa Conlan is no ordinary Artist. She not only paints pretty pictures with passion and depth that leaves the audience gasping for more, she also single-handedly organizes and promotes the whole show herself. Lisa exudes a level of professionalism and work ethic that is often seen in the creation of a star.

“Touching Souls” was one of the most popular paintings on the night of the exhibition Lisa pictured with Phillip & Lynn Kennedy, who purchased “The Dance Off”, along with additional quests

Lisa’s Iron Will has seen her move mountains – She not only sells work at each show without the help of any gallery, but she is also changing the exclusiveness of Art in general. She includes everyone and wants her work to be enjoyed by people from all walks of life and as a result people come from all over to attend one of her events.

Lisa’s reluctance to sell out and paint what has been done before has made it difficult for her to get her work into galleries but Lisa remains un-phased; instead she uses her business background to go the distance. She has the ability to win people over; her passion for painting and her zest for life have people hooked.

For an Art exhibition with a difference, keep your eyes and ears open for one of Lisa’s events. She will put on a show that you won’t forget. People are relaxed and welcomed. She always raffles off a painting at each show and there is always wine and music provided.

Speaking recently Lisa said:
“I’m not looking for a popularity vote, maybe it’s the rebel in me. I am searching for myself and for that which is true. I have been to a lot of galleries and frankly they haven’t been of much help to me. It makes no difference; I am going to get there anyways with or without their help. I am doing this because I truly love it, there should be more support for Artists but in the end it is the strong willed who survive and I have no shortage of determination.”

Keep your eyes and ears open for one of Lisa’s events, it is an experience not to be missed. Soul Language moves to the Burnavon Theatre, Cookstown from the 5th June until the 16th.
